What Stylepack does with what you enter

You give Stylepack a public website address. Our systems open that address in a browser session, render the page, measure how it looks and behaves, take screenshots of it, and store the result as a design pack. The zip file you download is assembled on your device.

The website you point us at is fetched from our infrastructure, not from your device, so that site sees a request from us, not from you.

Design packs

A pack describes a public website, not you. Packs are kept so that the next request for the same site is answered without rendering it again, and some are shown in the public gallery. A pack is never linked to you publicly. A pack nobody has saved and that is not in the gallery is deleted 30 days after it was made.

Without an account

To apply the daily free limit we keep a one-way hashed form of your network address with the sites requested in the last day. It cannot be turned back into your address, and it is deleted within 48 hours of your last request.

With an account

A free account keeps your email address, the packs you generated while signed in and the packs you saved. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, which sends you a one-time code by email; we never see or store a password. If you join the waitlist for higher limits, we keep your answers with your account so we can tell you when it opens. You can ask us to delete your account and everything linked to it at any time.

If you sign up for updates, we keep the email address you enter, when and where on the site you entered it, and a signal that lets us limit abuse, until you unsubscribe. We use it only to send those updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to the address below to be removed.

On your device

One small cookie, with a matching entry in your browser's local storage, records the choice you make in the cookie notice so we do not ask again; it lasts 180 days and holds nothing about you beyond that choice. When you run the tool, a short security check runs and a cookie that lasts 30 minutes remembers that you passed it. Signing in sets the cookies that keep you signed in, and while you sign in the tab remembers what you asked for until you are back. If you allow Functional storage, your light or dark theme and the language you pick are remembered too. When the site offers a page in your language and you dismiss the offer, that is remembered for the visit. After a newsletter signup, a cookie holding a one-way hash of the address (not the address) and an entry in local storage stop the form asking again. Your privacy choices in the footer of every page reopens your preferences. The cookie policy lists each item.

Analytics

We use Plausible, a privacy-first analytics service, to count page views in aggregate. It is cookieless, hosted in the EU, and does not collect personal data or track you across sites. Turn Analytics off in the cookie preferences and your visits are not counted.

Backups

Deleted data can remain in our database backups for up to 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what your account holds, for corrections, or for deletion, by emailing the address below from the address on your account.
